PUMPKIN CARVING

We carved pumpkins over the weekend, a tradition that our kids won't let us go without doing, So we went and picked out enough pumpkins for each of us. Ellysa got hers when she went on a field trip to the pumpkin farm, they let each kid pick out a pumpkin, and ahe was so excited when she got home to show us. So Joe D cut the tops of the pumpkins off and we told the kids that they had to clean them all out before we could carve any of them, so Jaxon cleaned out 3 and Ellysa cleaned out 2, then the carving began. Jaxon started his first, but I had to draw what he was going to carve first, he did a real good job carving his, then came Ellysa's I thought she was too young to carve it by herself, so Joe D helped her, then I drew the faces on for mine and Kaizley's and then Joe D got to carve the rest. Ellysa said I had to keep the pumpkin seeds and clean them and cook them, which I had never done, they actually turned out better than I thought they would. Well 3 out of 5 pumpkins have lasted. Someone decided they would smash two of them early, so the two that got smashed lasted three days, Ellysa and Kaizley's got smashed, oh well at least we still have 3 left, to show our halloween spirit...HAPPY HALLOWEEN
